Individual & Group Fishing Trips

At Atlantic Whale & Wildlife Tours we offer Family Fishing Trips from the pier at Courtmacsherry on either of our two flagship boats, the Lady Patricia or the Lady Louise for a duration of 3-4 hours. We also offer Charter and Individual Angling trips for those looking to spend a full day fishing.
Courtmacsherry offers the angler a wide variety of fishing – shark, bottom and wreck fishing. In the bay one can catch Ling, Conger, Pollack, Coalfish, Cod, Dogfish, Thornback Ray, Skate, Electric ray, Whiting, Haddock and Mackerel. Further offshore, due to the effects of the Gulf Stream, sharks can be caught. All fish are tagged and released in the interests of conservation. Wreck fishing is available in close proximity to Courtmacsherry. Tackle can be rented at reasonable rates, if required.

Hired a self drive boat for the day 10am to 6pm. Life jackets provided. What a great day fishing without having to travel too far in the boat. Very safe boat with good local knowledge provided by the friendly staff. Highly recommended and good value for money.

Angling FAQs

Our charter boats are hired for a full day and our self-drive boats can be hired for a half or a full day.

Yes, we have fishing rods to rent and some fishing equipment for sale in the tackle shop on the Pier.

We recommend children to be at least 4 years for family fishing trips.

We do not take dogs/pets on board unless they are trained assistance dogs.

Our 3 vessels, Lady Catherine, Lady Patricia & Lady Louise have wheelchair access. The self drive boats do not have access for wheelchairs.

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel giving us less than 24 hours notice, or decide not to take up your booking at the last moment, we expect you to pay in full (or in part) for the place(s) you have blocked for others.
